Can you upload the save when it works and doesn't lag to hell?
I've noticed that most DF saves lag to hell when run on MC. Dunno why.
edit: Could you run it with a program like MCedit, and copy the actual ship into a non-DF save?

I'm not fully familiar with it, but I'll see what I can do. At least I planted it in a good spot where I might get a clean copy.

Wish me luck, because it's doing that lag again. However, with as little as I see, it's looking nicer already.

If it all works especially well. I'll see if I can upload an MCEdit schematic of the ship, if it isn't too large a file.

EDIT:
Just opened it up in MCEdit.

._.

HOLY CRAP!!!!!

EDIT EDIT:
More progress made. I copied it (with some of the access docking bridge) and pasted it (schematic-wise) to a new world. Gonna explore it now. It looks beautiful, even in MCE.

EDIT EDIT EDIT:
... m-m-m-mmmm MEEP!!! From my spawn-point in my new world + Glimmer-pack, this thing looks awesome. Definitely a screen-cap worthy shot here. Even better, FPS is excellent.

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT:
For this special occasion, I'm going large-scale screenshots. Something wallpaper-worthy.

Here's a hint at it's scale: I have far rendering distance, and I can see fog on the far end. It's frakking huge. The shadow casting inside and out actually attracts mobs, so I'm capping images in peaceful mode.

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT:
There may be quite a few screenshots. Some of them may be a bit dark too. I'll try my best to summarize them. Still collecting.

Okay, more screenshots soon, Itnet? Because this thing sounds even more awesome. Please tell me you built a flying ship in the process of being destroyed by Bloodfist.

Not quite yet. I want a decent tour before blowing crap up. Which reminds me, I can always replace the balistae with TNT cannons (+ water to prevent damage to the hull). I can also add more powerful weapons to the other parts too.

I'm done collecting images. It took me 3 game days to get them all with decent lighting + Hi and Low shots. I'm uploading them now as I speak. Fortunately, they're small PNG files for the size I shot. Funny enough, the darker images have smaller filesize, and the lit ones are larger size.

Here I go. Caution, there are plenty of them (by mean of plenty, I mean alot). I'll try to divide them at least by deck or relevance:

Spoiler: Spawn and Low Angle (click to show/hide)

And that's just about it. I'll see what I can do about uploading the ship as a schematic (MCEdit). I'll clean it up a bit more first. BTW, how would you like it uploaded? With the land bridge already connected, or without? I'll also see if I can retract all bridges and make it completely stand-alone as well. You know what? I'll just make all variations as best I could, pack it up, and upload it. What would be the best place to upload it? I mean more for relevance, because I'm uncertain of using DFFD (though relevant to the source) to distribute something Minecrafted-ish.

EDIT:
All images should be full-scale now. As for the schematic, I'm going to take a bit of a break before I do that. Plus, I still need a good site to upload the pack/save to.

You need to have a magma drop deck. It would be one time, and largely inefficient. In other words: VERY DWARFY!

Oh, and do have several dozen tnt cannons.

Are there any tools that take a save file and tally up all the crap you have laying around in chests? I just did a quick check to figure out how much iron ingots I had...

I really wonder what else I've been hording in amounts I've way underestimated. I should probably use some of this stuff instead of infinitely mining.

I'm tempted to accuse you of fabricating that... For example, if this is a erroneous generation, where is the roof? I'm pretty sure nether chunks have roofs right?

It seems to have used the nether blocks with the regular world generator.
There's random pockets of lanternite and creeperite where coal/iron probably would have been.

That happened to my friend once, it was very freaky, red skies, and some screwy landscape while everything else looked normal
