Alright I'm sorry. I read "Quickfort 2.x is a utility for Dwarf Fortress, built with Python and AutoHotKey, that helps you build fortresses" and thought it was an app that would let me build fortresses. Now that I know it's useless I can un-install it. Thanks for your time.

Useless? HAH! Anything but. What did you really expect it to do, play the game for you?

As much wizardry as Quickfort has built into it, it's not magic.

I made this account so I can ask this one question. Anyone has any idea why QF gives me these results?

No matter if I use macro mode or key mode. It happened on several different Build blueprints. Dig and Adjust works ok.

Any word on this?  I also get this issue.  I am using a qwerty keyboard.  I have increased some of the delays in the ini but it didn't help.

How do I set quickfort to build things with a custom hotkey, such as alt+z

Just a quick post to say thanks for this tool.

It took me a bit to make my blueprints, but now it saves me a lot of time to setup farms, workshops, storage piles, bedrooms...

When you know what you want and how to do it, it's even faster to put together a xlsx than to designate it by hand even only once.

It is ok, I'm used to that in RL so why should my game be different :p

Any tips on how people integrate different designs together? For example, I've laid out the QuickFort waterfall and am thinking about integrating the Meeker workshops cribbed from Workshop Design.
However, one is based on 3x3 central stair while the other is 2x2. Oh, and I'm thinking about how to cut out the waterfall section in the lower right. Any tips?

Oh, and is there a place to upload resulting files for community examination?

Has anyone done a dining hall based on the surface build with waterfall cutout?

Here's my translation of Al-Pharazon's Organics Processing. I thought it would be either directly connected to a dining hall or below one so I didn't create that. I personally had the finished food storage (large middle center room) z-1 from the edge of the main dining area and connected it with staircases.

Anyone having issues with Beds/Tables/Chairs placed in planning mode which don't get placed once they're manufactured? I'm using Ordinary/*any as filters (default) in from the 40_10 Starter Pack r4.

Found this issue in a Planning Mode thread:

Probably not related to Quickfort.

Hi,

I'm a newb to this game, but after one week of severe addiction I think I got the hang of the basics and most industries. Since setting up basic stockpiles, optimize hurling and designing a new fortress all over again lowers the dwarf fortress specific fun for me, I started to have a look at Quickfort. More specifically at the Buketgeshud templates. But for some reason the "setup stockpiles" does not work for me. The farms and seed stockpiles get set up, but after that it seems to miss something. Maybe I'm missing something or things changed in the new version of DF? I would be grateful for any help on that matter.

Since the first few inside layers of each fortress could look the same (except for farm placement depending on soil) it makes me wonder if other people have created similar templates to speed up the basic setup.

Regards,

Spock

First, let me thank you for writing such a useful tool.

I have noticed an inconsistency in the documentation at http://www.joelpt.net/quickfort/#advanced-transformations. It states that flipv should not make any changes to bucket A, but I find that it does.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

What is stranger is that "rotcw rotccw", which should be a no-op, causes the following flipv to behave as described.

Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

Thanks,
Josh

Are there any images showing what the Quickfort Fortress looks like?
