My first serious tower attempt.

Perhaps not that impressive, but it's my first tower for living in. It's built by casting obsidian in a green glass mold (I like to think these walls are transparent to a certain degree). Over 10 years spent in construction, now the dwarves have finally moved in, and are moving the supplies over from the old underground fortress. No more cave spider bites!

...Are all of those coffins full?

If so, you really need to sober up those guys before having them patrol the walls mate.

Anything can happen in Dwarf Fortress! Even building a glass and obsidian tower from the bottom of a magma pipe to the highest z-level is possible if you try hard enough!

Yeah, mostly.
Some of them have pets and fellow dwarf merchants, but most are just immigrants that I didn't want or came just before sieges. ;)
Soon to be joined by my current Duchess and consort, who both mandate some weird stuff added by the Civilization Forge mod (not saying the mod is bad). I had to cheat with raws to get what they want and I try to keep the stuff un-used.
