Ok, Hugo, hope this "captures the spirit of the moment" properly. Imageshack is being a douche today.

Run, little peasants, run for your puny lives!

And it really reminded me of this

Heh, that's an awesome comic, thanks for the link. Sperm whale inspired monomania rocks. I may try that method of water shading next time.

I got the reference. :D

I'm a One Piece fan so Laboo was definately an influence. I imagine that the little circular scars on mine were gained during it's natural life of hunting giant squid whereas the jagged scar lines occured during post-zombification-civilization-smashing. What's cool is that only recently did I learn that sperm whales only have teeth on the lower jaw (and so drew it like that), and now that you linked that picture I realize that One Piece got that right, too.

OMFG!!!!! THATS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT OF IT!!!!!!!! Thats incredible!

*HIGH FIVES!* You know I questioned whether I wanted to spend the extra time colouring it, and your reaction makes it worth it.

When the first dwarf yells "From hell's heart I stab at thee!" to a Plumphelmet Man you will know we have reached DF version 1.0.

So, testing my WIP Frontier mod, I was tasked with putting down some bandits, and decided to take a shortcut by swimming across the lake. Well, as luck would have it, said lake was home to a healthy population of alligators. Unfortunately, my loss of finger made me drop my gun, so all I had left was the knife. Somehow I managed to kill both the ones attacking me with well placed eye and throat shots, dragging myself out with the rest of my body still present (albeit with my left foot now in my backpack.)

The parent civ of my current fortress is called "The Doors of War." Pretty damn badass. Too bad the doors of war seem to be designed to only let things into the fortress.

well after spending days away from DF I come back... and found this sweet feature with use of Dfhack.
some how if you cage someone then use a custom reaction to book them you will not kill the person but warp them some where in the world. so if you do this onto say an adventurer then retire the game will send the adventurer on a trip to some random place.
so here's a illustrated guide to how to do it.
