Legends mode just gets so cluttered all the time, what with all these newly recruited heroes getting eaten by wolves. Who then, themselves, get names and show up in legends.

I'm curious what the barely conscious ai wrote about.
Well that went better than expected.  He went nuts and punched a rabbit to death, then the dogs and the whole dining hall ripped him to shreds.

Thats why you always get dwarves with steel equiptment.

My dwarfs stayed with me so long I finally just killed them myself to liven things up. It was humane though. Sort of.

Regular wolves are weak. I tear through them like paper. Wet newspaper even.

Dire Wolves though?

These things are MONSTERS. And its not just a single pack of wolves either. EVERY TWO MAP TILES IS AN AMBUSH OF EIGHT OR SEVEN OF THESE FUCKERS.

OH GOD.

Wolves are only hard if your character is brand new and has crappy skills. They get much easier when you gain experience.

The thing about wolves is that bad luck can really mess you up. If you have terrible luck (as I usually do) even your all-legendary Lasher will have his throat torn out before even being able to attack.

Wolves aren't that hard ::) just start with an Expert anything other than lasher bowman or wrestling and you're good to go. I can usually kill one or two before they get to move and all of them before they even get past my shield with a non-legendary adventurer.

Yeah, but now, when we have an attack formula, we see that it mostly consists of random numbers 0 to N, so there's quite big chance to score something really small (remember how many times you've got 1 1 2 1 2 out of 5 dice when you played DnD) or something quite big (6 6 6 6 5 from d5 anyone?).
