The best way to spend $25 online...
« on: May 31, 2009, 07:02:32 pm »

What is it?

I got it (a gift card) as a gift from a dear friend, so I feel obligated to spend it on me, so don't bother suggesting that I donate it to Toady. I did consider that, but like I said, I feel obligated to spend it on myself.

I'm completely new to online shopping. Where would be the best place to find stuff?

So... Ideas? Where to buy music? A cool game for >$25?

Amazon is always good. You could buy a copy of Seek and Destroy. Several copies actually. I got one from gamestop for $3.

Seek and Destroy
??? The name sounds vaguely familiar, but what kind of game is it?

On the topic of games, what I'd love to find is something simmilar to Metroid Prime for the PC. I've been thinging about digging it out for a while, but I'm too lazy.

It's a really cheaply made but quite fun game for the PS2.
Everyone in the world is a tank. You are a soldier in the PROTON kindgon, fighting the Q-Stein empire. Costumizable tank parts and a lot of different tanks to choose from. Not a deap game, but there is some variety amongst the missions.

Never played a Metriod game myself.

Buy as many ram & memory sticks as possible, so you can play DF quicker.

:D Unfortunately, that probably won't help DF much. I'd need a CPU upgrade.

BFME 2 and Medieval 2 were both $25...

They're pretty good 'oh dang no internet today' games.

Okay, so i ordered a Tool DC from Amazon.com. After shipping it's $22 and some change. I'll probably donate the rest to Toady.

Also, is it just me, or is it... spooky to have both spinning-cube avatars right above and below each other like that?

I know I'm a wee bit late on responding, but to me the purpose of a gift card like that is so that the person recieving it could do whatever they wanted to with it. Like spending it on their family, take their girlfriend/boyfriend out (if they had one), spend it on their self, or giving it all to their favorite web site. *shrugs* Just my 2 cents on the matter.

-_- When i try to send it to toady via the PayPal donate button, it says something to the effect of "This card cannot be used for this transaction."
