Like you want to make three platinum doors, but are too lazy to press the required buttons three times.

use the manager

.. only snag is it kicks the orders out to a workshop of its choice.

In point of fact, repeat (n) would also be useful if you want a specific workshop to do something, but (n) is more than 10(since the workshop queue will be full at that point). Also, it'd be handy for things that don't show on the manager but can be repeated at the source - chiefly, the jobs at the kennel.
