I'd love to see a new version of DF called Derp Derptress.

I'd love to see a new version of DF called Derp Derptress.
That would be a fortress entirely populated by the debug dwarves that grow different parts of their body wrongly. Like no beard, lopsided eyes, teeth growing through their jaws and such.

I'm curious what the barely conscious ai wrote about.
Well that went better than expected.  He went nuts and punched a rabbit to death, then the dogs and the whole dining hall ripped him to shreds.

"A game that's too deep for you" is usually how I describe it.
Then there's others I know that play..
"Dwarf Fortress" then.

THAT or The Matrix.
Usually, I hear "What is THAT ?" and "Are you looking at The Matrix ?"

For me it's just DF.

When typing, it's almost always "DF". Most everyone calls it "that game" or "your dot game".

I think he spells it the way it sounds.  I sometimes call it that as well.  My friends all call it "That game he plays with shitty graphics.  Seriously it's just dots, squares, and triangles."  My friends will never understand.  They never play games on the PC.  They will never know the wonders of DF.  :(

My girlfreind sometimes tells me to "go play with your dwarvs." It has on occasion gotten us some weird looks...

I call it "the best game ever made", usually, I kid you not.

That's kind of odd, tho, since I rarely play. Because DF is the heroin of videogames.

And it's weird. I look at my watch. See I have only... say ... 8 hours left, if I push it, for an orgiastic gaming session, and say to myself "nah, that's not enough for a proper DF session"... However, whenever I have about 12 hours free time with nothing to do (yes that still happens \o/) I drown some bearded smallfolk.
