Controlled dreaming.
« on: July 05, 2009, 04:06:09 pm »

Or rather, daydreaming with your eyes closed.

After I wake up, I have a huge urge to go back to sleep. When I do, I have very vivid dreams and I have more control than normal. I don't remember most of them, but I get to use most of my rational thought while having them.

Problem is, I know dreams only occur during REM sleep. Which can't happen in one minute. It takes 90 minutes to occur in sleep. It stays for 90 minutes, then it's another 90 minutes of dreamless sleeping. Then another dream. Repeat Ad-Wakeupium.

So then. Have I mastered my dreams and given myself the ability to partially simulate reality to my own enjoyment?

I don't get the REM sleep thing, I have dreams within less than an hour of napping, very often.

random Eye movement.

its a type of deep sleep where your eyes dart around, its usually the time when you start dreaming.

Actually, it's technically "rapid eye movement".

Anyway, you go into REM sleep almost immediately if you wake up and go back to sleep, which is why it's the best time for lucid dreaming.

Really? I recall watching a show on Discovery that said it's a 90 minute cycle.
