Modded woods and how to prevent their misuse.

Is it possible to prevent a kind of wood from being used in wagons and NPC trading goods? I've put this in my RAWs:
[MATGLOSS_WOOD:ELF]
   [NAME:petrified elves][ADJ:elven]
   [TILE:226]
   [PREFSTRING:terrified expression]

And it's just awkward when the elves show up with petrified elf flutes to trade. ::)

Also, the humans showed up with a wagon made of them. :o

(Petrified elves originally from assorted silliness mod.)

To be honest, though, I'm kind of wondering where they got it from. The variety I'm using doesn't have biomes.

If trees have no biomes, they don't grow anywhere.
Which, one would assume, would prevent elves from making musical instruments out of it. Or humans making wagons...
And I don't want to know what the goblins are going to do. :-X

accualy,thats a good idea guys,perhaps you could make a very very rare tree in the desert that gives you a metal

here would be a example

A 'hijack' is like a derail, only to a relevant topic for the forum, rather than cats or loli or the price of fish in China.*

That said, I think it's more that you were a little abrupt with the idea- you just kinda dumped it. If you think it has real potential (which it may well), make it its own thread with development of the idea, rather than stealing Deimos' thread, accidentally or otherwise.

it means you've gone off topic now with your own idea. were talking about how to stop elves making stuff from elf-wood, and you jump in outta nowhere with an idea of your own that isnt related at all. thus, youve hijacked the thread. now go make a different topic if you wanna share the idea for a metal-tree-thing :P
