Thanks for the fun guys, but I'm done with this. Please let me know if you're interested in becoming the new maintainer.

Sorry to hear this chmod, but I think most of us could see that this was coming. Thanks to you DT is truly important to play DF.

Farewell and good luck.

A very mature and excellent tool, and a pretty good time to exit and allow the community to stand up while you stand down to move on to other thing.

Well played, good sir mod. I would thank you but...well...i'll just give you a man-hug in IRC.

I'm very sad to see you go, chmod. Dwarf Therapist was very powerful, probably even essential tool to playing Dwarf Fortress effectively. In any case, thank you for the many many hours of investment you've placed into this program for our leisure enjoyment. I wish you success in any future projects you might undertake in real life :]. Replacing you will be hard, but I'm afraid to say under circumstances such as this one...it's crucial. Thank you once again chmod. We will miss you.

This is incredibly unfortunate. Like others have said, alot of work has been put into this. I don't blame you for needing to stop. The instant demand for compatibility and ignorance of some players is silly.
I'm sorry if my own pack caused you any grief or was part of the 90 random packages of code, the latest version sort of qualifies as that I admit (although I assumed it would be a couple day temporary fix and I would have removed it on request). I tried to at least keep people informed of who's to credit, where more information is, and exactly what version/xml I'm using.

Anyways, I expect the community to pull it together, but there are few who are willing to put in the effort you have.

You are a retard.

I will miss this program.

edit: Can someone link me to HOW to use the offsets? I've got the link to it, but not how to actually use it.

They will still be able to play, the utility won't stop working and we can update the offsets just fine when new versions come out. It isn't like there is much that can be done to improve the program, it is pretty polished. The only thing someone needs to do is update it to use memory.xml, so all utilities can feed off one file.

Unfortunately, that won't be the case the next time the underlying structures change; it'll take more involved work then.

Sorry to see you go, chmod. A tip of the hat to you.

Sorry to see you go, chmod, but can't say that I'm surprised. I hope your next thing goes well. Thanks for all your awesome hard work and polish on DT.

Also, Linux memory layout for DF 0.31.12.
