This is a new FPS being made by Gearbox that's actually looking pretty cool.  It takes place on a Trigun like planet with outlaws and stuff... and well, it's got Diablo like loot elements too, which seems cool, but thankfully it's not pretending to be a RPG and has concentrated on being a FPS.  It's also supposed to have online Co-Op, and vehicles.

Anyway, here's a totally useless preview where the "journalist" basically just talks about how well bribed he was, and doesn't give any impressions on the game itself.  Hurray for gaming journalism!

EDIT: Ok, I take that back about it not pretending to be a RPG.  They just decided to call it a "Role Playing Shooter" in their latest trailer, which makes no sense whatsoever....

It also has randomly generated guns, if it's the game I'm thinking of.

But yeah, Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are the only animus I ever enjoyed, so that's a plus.

Randomly generated guns?

This gun is called the bulletshooter.
This gun is called the pelletslinger.
This gun is called the smallleadballsthrower.
This gun is called the killbymeansofhighspeedprojectilesthingy.

Obviously I'm joking here, I assume they're randomly generated to fire different colors of laser beams.

No, they actually created a bunch of different sets of parameters based on the manufacturers in the game and then used a generator to create the guns from various parts and textures based on those parameters.

Give me a gun that cures zombie virus non-lethally.  Now that could be interesting game.  It could be like, a zombie apocalypse where the zombies aren't undead but just infected with some rage disease or whatever, and like, the surviving healthy humans develop a cure, only, how do they administer it to a population that's gone totally violently psychotic?  Er, wait, what was this thread about again?

I've seen reviews of this. It's suppose to have a million different guns and they aren't suppose to just be groups with different colors and slightly tweaked status. For example a cannon pistol; A pistol with an abnormally large barrel that shoots huge bullets.

There are gonna be some all powerful "kill all in one shot" guns but those will be hard to find.

Truthfully, I just want to fight that freakishly huge creature with the hive of flying thing on it's back. ;D

Speaking as someone who has several friends who have worked as waiters, I want a gun that shoots hot coffee, just so I can fire fresh cups of jo at people and scream "THERE'S YOUR GODDAMN LATTE"

I gotta say, this game has the potential to totally not suck.

Not gonna say that it has the potential to be good, but it might be playable.

And by playable, I mean I'll buy it on Steam, because its a 2K game, and I'll end up getting it when there's a special deal on it, and the price has been brought down to what its really worth.
