I don't know what a chemistry mole is, but that's awesome.

It's a creative assignment to go and make a stuffed mole with a certain theme. Tis a pun, becasue Moles. I was gonna make a Rose, Jade, and Dave but not enough time

More importantly, a mole is the number of atoms required for x grams of a substance of atomic weight x. For example, carbon has an atomic weight of 12.03 amu (1 amu ~= weight of a proton), so one mole of C would weigh 12.03 grams.

No, that's backwards. A mole is 6.02x1023 atoms. Atomic weight happens to have a perfect quantity-to-mass ratio due to scientists being awesome.

I don't think a 6.02*10^23 is a perfect ratio, since a mole is basically defined as the ratio between 1amu and 1 gram.

In chemistry, a mole is a number, but it is a significant number. Sort of like pi is a number... Except is is a very big number that relates to the atomic mass of a molecule and it's weight.

1 mole is defined as the number of atoms in 12 grams of carbon-12.

1 mole is defined as the number of atoms in 12 grams of carbon-12.
that's... pretty much exactly what they were saying up there. The atomic mass of a carbon-12 atom is 12 (something), so 6*10^23 carbon-12 atoms weighs 12 grams. To an outside observer this is all starting to look very much like circular logic.

I was responding to this:

because it's not true. (Avagadro's constant is 6.02214129(27) * 1023 mol-1 where the (27) represents uncertainty as to the actual value)
