But if a body is oiled, it has a higher chance to be speared through by a random speardwarf!

Wouldn't the Dwarf have reduced friction and start sliding all over the room?

If it's done in a 1-tile room with a single speardwarf, the victim would have no place to slide to.

Moot point.

A creature the size of europe can occupy only one tile.

Apparently having a redundant creature entry causes the game to say, "Oh, look, it's crazy world now. Nothing makes sense! Alligators live in houses!"

Thats my sig now.

This forum never gets old.

Actually, if you peruse the post discussing dragon tanks you'll know that you can make any creature into a wagon version and it takes up 3x3. We have our top men working on bigger templates :D

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Yeah, but I said "can occupy only one tile", not "only occupies one tile". :P

So my point still stands.

But within the context of the sentence you typed it made the word "can" appear to mean that this was the only possible way it could be.

"There can be only one"
There is only one"

Very different meanings.

You'd have to forgive me, because English was not my first language.

But from what I understand, the way I used "can" was more of a:

"He can eat the cake."

Where "can" implies the choice in doing so.

The first one involves scottish people and decapitations.  ;D

the entire movie (ignoring the other 2, they suck the balls) revolves around the use of can in the first sense rather than the "is" sense. Imagine that:

Scottish McEvil "There can be only one, but on the other hand, there can also be many."
Scottish McAwesome "Ok then let's not fight..."

It doesn't revolve around the word "can" at all. It revolves around that "only" modifier.
Saying something "can" be something does not say it MUST be so.

Now can we get back to talking about things besides grammar? Like, say, Alligators suddenly occupying regular peoples houses?
Is is a Time Travelling Screwup or Error in the Raws. Let the player decide.

Or maybe before the Age of Legends the world was ruled by an ancient reptilian race, and those are their descendants now risen to re-enslave the puny warmbloods.

It probably all depends on when in the timeline you go and kill Lavos.
