Okay, officially in comment mode now - no more suggestions, as I've got the line up for the next five comics.

Damn all these closeups are noticeable stretching my artistic muscles. (which are noticeably terribly already)

Anyways, I was hoping to have a few more out, but this is all new art and more detailed than usual. Next comic should be alright, but the one after that... errr.

I do need ideas though, which I was wrong about!

What TYPE of wooden armor should jujufrobo make? Just a helmet? Breastplate? clogs? Whats the consensus, folks.

ACTUALLY, GlyphGryph, you are showing a noticeable improvement.  The war paint closeup and animation stand out, and Jujufrobo in that last one has good visual depth.

The lick seals it, though.  I'm in there with xtank5.  No matter how many times I look at it, I always laugh.

HEY, you should try my Dwarfletter tileset...it's pretty.
I make games, too

Jujufrobo should only make a wooden breastplate since a helmet would not be able to fit his dwarf ears.  An addition once Jujufrobo completes it and puts it on:

Jujufrobo>Wonder why Elfs think its a great idea to wear armor that isn't flexible and gives splinters whenever you move around in it.

Jujufrobo>Wonder why Elfs think its a great idea to wear armor that isn't flexible and gives splinters whenever you move around in it.

I would imagine that elves apply all kinds of sandpaper, waxes, oils and lacquers to their wooden armor, making it rather smooth to the touch.

As far as flexibility goes, wooden armor probably isn't much worse than plate; better if you fashion it more like banded or splinted armor.

(A Dwarf, of course, would probably just strap large wooden shields to his chest and back, mount two wooden bucklers as pauldrons, decorate the whole thing with menacing spikes of kitten bone and call it a day.)
