You lived a nice, quiet life on Maple Street...everyone knew each other and life was pleasent.

Then, power was shut off throughout the Street, and the cars stopped working. To make matters worse, rumors began to spread that on Main Street, three Doppelganger Pods were discovered. Of course, the Government claimed that Doppelgangers don't exist...and yet...

of the remaining 7, at least 4-5 of us are human. Are the other 2-3 human or doppelganger?
I am going to make a proposal and claim that doppelgangers do in fact exist.

And the proposal was a shot in the dark. I have no idea whether or not they exist, and I don't care as long as I survive.

While it's safer to just assume the Dopps don't exist (until the end of the game, where if they do exist, and the majority says they don't, we all lose) or at least not lynch anybody, I believe in doing things the hard way. To quote the great John F. Kennedy:

We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.

In our case, choosing to go to the moon is like choosing to determine if the Dopps are real and here. This serves to measure the best of our skills of reasoning, because that challenge is one that we, or at least I, am willing to accept, one I am unwilling to postpone, and one which I intend to win with!
