I just captured a live dragon: how do I tame?

She's named; and I heard that named creatures can't be tamed.  What should I do with it?

Ah... uh...

Upload a save? That's just plain awesome.

I'm pretty sure you need the dungeon keeper, as it's tagged [PET_EXOTIC] in the raws...

I think you can tame named animals, but before they were still aggressive after being tamed... I'm not entirely sure about that, or how it works now...

You betcha.  Before or after the dragon is caught?  ;-)

ADDED:

After dragon is caught:  http://rapidshare.com/files/67082161/afterdragoniscaught.7z.html

I can also upload the save just as he is attacking, too, if you want. I just ordered all the dwarves inside, military off duty, she walked through a 2x bismuth and steel large serrated disk trap, five (I think) wooden spike ball traps, flaming a soaper before hitting the first wooden cage trap.

The weapon traps that stopped the bronze colossus put her in the light grey.  Since all the dwarven snack goodies were ordered inside my fortress, she pretty much *had* to walk through the weapon and cage traps.

A fire breathing creature in a wooden cage and it's unable to break out?  :p

I wondered the same thing too.  Its satisfactory just to keep her in the rat pile, several levels above the other piles, with all kinds of other doo-dads, odd ends and garbage.

Those dwarves knew they had to turn that pile of lumber into the sturdiest wooden cage if they wanted to live another day.   :p

A live dragon is only worth 30¤?
Jeez! Talk about a bargain deal. You'd think the bigger kingdoms would be clamoring for a captured dragon for entertainment or experimentation or just harvesting the bits from!

That's the price of the cage.

I'd put that cage up in the middle of my meeting area. Or better, just outside the entrance to the fortress. Then, when the goblin army shows up, the first thing they'll see is the dragon you captured. That might make them think twice...

Yeah, if you eventually tame it - awesome defense. In the meantime - awesome zoo?

Ugluk, goblin spearman aborts invasion: Burning.

Also, did you fiddle with the raws or can megabeasts now be trapped normally? Because that's so cool.

I did it stock game.

EDIT: The soaper is still burning in my hallway.  I have restricted his items and tiles to traffic - his items are still: !!item!!

In the old version, didn't you have to break one of their wings to be able to trap them.  Did your weapon traps damage the wings?
