Buildings counting as "Secondary" storage area

I've been pretty frustrated recently with metalworking; I have a rather large population (75), and thus alot to do, so sometimes it takes quite awile to move thoes bars out of the smelter, into a storage.
My question is: Is it possible to count workshops as "secondary" storages, where, if possible, items are moved out of, but are still registered in. It'd make metalworking alot more efficient.

While I'm at it, there should be a bakery too, to make bread and sweets! A kitchen has alot more to work with than just sugar and wheat, so it can take a long time to process them; a bakery would solve this problem!
