I don't get what it being an icon has to do with it. Seems kind of shallow to stop liking something because it's popular.

I expected better of you.  :-\

It's not because it's popular, it's because it's popular among people who are detestable.  You don't want  to be associated with Hot Topic kids.

My two favorite TV shows of all time are Ed, Edd, n Eddy, and Courage the Cowardly Dog. My best friend and I still name episodes and events from these shows, and we're 16.

I loved invader zim.
One of my friends had all them fancy American channels, so I'd go round to his house to watch it.
I was stuck with 5 terrestrial channels until last year.

What? American channels are as opposed to 'terrestrial' channels?

They are all just plain strange/stupid, though Tom & Jerry was violent, it made a little more sense, Flapjack equals to WTF on the strange/stupid level.
Tom & Jerry is still on Cartoon Network if you're watching it around noonish. (and is still awesome)

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

What about Samurai Jack, or Megas XLR?

I loved both of those shows, to bad they've both been cancelled... ::)

I'm a little surprised nobody's mentioned Duckman yet.
Or The Maxx (Oh God, that was better than anything had a right to be...)
Or The Critic.

I've never heard of the first two, but The Critic was no more a children's cartoon than The Simpsons is.

No time to go through the whole thread but I hope someone mentioned the old WB lineup like Animaniacs and Freakazoid. Absolutely legendary.

And the things they got away with pulling...
