I decided to try moving my taskbar around and found that I absolutely cannot live with it anywhere other than at the bottom. However I moved it to my second screen and I quite like it there, even though my second screen is a bit smaller that the primary one.

Where do you find a single picture for a desktop that huge? You like make it yourself or commission it at that resolution or something?

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

They're tougher to find, but there are still plenty of wallpapers out there at 2560x1600 and larger.  I have thousands.  Unfortunately, most of the really good stuff doesn't go higher than is 1920x1080.  Very little promotional or fan art at super hi-res.  It's mostly photography and abstracts up here.

I find that some of my desktop icons keep moving around after I turn off my laptop. Is there some sort of option to lock them in place?

I made most of that one myself. I found the vector image as a wallpaper on its own (original here), with a black background. The stars/clouds background I made myself.

Finding multi-screen wallpapers is difficult, finding 1960 x 1050 wallpapers is impossible. Noone has that resolution, I suppose that's what I get for using two different screens.

New window manager (because MATE does not take two panels being in the same location very well).

My wallpapers folder is currently stable in a 3-way balance of power between ponies, Touhou, and NanoFate. This is as it should be.

Incidentally, I consider this to be another excellent argument for not using icons.  :P

Aurora on small monitors:
1. Game Parameters -> Reduced Height Windows.
2. Lock taskbar to the right side of your desktop.
3. Run Resize Enable

You have a good point there with not using icons and that picture. But I could just hide mine using Fences and have both ways at once, thoguh not at the same time.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

See, I'd probably have a wallpaper like that except my computer is set up in the main living space. D:

Oh well. My current background is the planned world map for Pokemon Orthoclase and Microcline.

You don't use freedom Penguin. First you demand it, then you have it.
No using. That's not what freedom is for.

But that is the default. You just put a girl on it to make it look different.

despite my computer being in my room, I have a similar issue, its in the corner opposite the door, which is near the top of the stairs, so basically everybody sees my computer screen if the door is open.

I think that that's Seven-tan, the anime representation of Windows 7. Amirite?
