I always imagined them as have a broad, some would even say plump cap, probably having a diameter twice or so the length of the stock. And it tastes like soggy tofu.

I always figured that they looked like stocky peni anyway. It amused me more to think of my dwarves trying to deepthroat a long purple mushroom. Plump helmet wine is served in penis shaped barrels in my forts, kinda like a water fountain.

Anyway, I always figured plump helmets just looked like stout mushrooms with really, well, plump caps, sort of like a Zelda mushroom or something.

I laughed out loud when I found out that the Spanish word for "mushroom" is "champiñón".

actually champinon is for one kind of mushroom, we call mushrooms "hongos"

Apparently (from what I gather on the Spanish Wikipedia page, which I can hardly read), "champiñón" refers to any edible mushrooms for a lot of Latin America, although not in Spain and some other places.

Oh, and in French, "champignon" (pronounced sort of similarly) refers to mushrooms in general.

In German, the word "Champignon" refers to a special type of edible mushrooms, the white button mushroom, to be precise. But to make it all even more confusing: In spoken language the word "mushroom" refers almost always to the edible mushrooms you buy in stores, the white button mushroom, the "Champignon". At least that's what I read on the internets. [edit] That makes me wonder... In the US, do you eat any other kind of mushroom than the little white ones? No, I'm not talking about the psychedelic stuff, you sick persons. ^^[/edit]

But as we all know: Every mushroom is edible, but some of them only once.

There's a couple kinds you can eat, I think, I'm no mushroom expert. You you see some brightly colored, 'lookat-me-I'm-poisonous' mushroom, people still call it a mushroom (nobody says toadstool around here).

Anyway, I know for sure people also eat Shiitake (did I spell it right?) mushrooms...
