Adding new Trade partners to a started game
« on: September 05, 2009, 09:02:08 am »

Sorry if this has been asked before, but searching for "modifying trade" comes up with alot of unrelated topics.

Here is what I was wondering: I'm on my first fortress in my fifth year, and the only trade caravans that come are the dwarves. This is, apart from the occasional siege, the only highlight year-round. Is there perhaps some way to make it so (modding the save file perhaps) that other trade caravans from the humans and elves also arrive?

Rex is right, once you've started a fortress, or hell, even genned a world, there is very little/nothing you can do concerning extra races, or extra traders.

Chances are the other races just can't reach you there, and adding new races to trade with calls for re genning the world, which sadly means you can't do it while playing.

What kind of statues are your masons making, that you think they have "maximum exposure"?
(Full frontal ones, apparently.  With very short beards.)
