While no doubt it should be strong and fast, shouldn't Mew be benign?  As in running away from any attackers, and telepathically shoving someone's fist through their head if cornered?

Mew is frail, but very quick.

Strong as in "Shove a mind-fist through your skull".

Yes, but if you put a spear trough it, it won't be happy.

Guess what my traps are made of?

Mew should be able to run and use fireballs or something :D

Apart from mankeys and primapes, I can't manage to encounter any of these in adventure mode.  Adding [LARGE_PREDATOR] helped sometimes, though caves were completely empty.  Shame.

Caves are always empty to me, mod or no. I think it's just a matter of right cave at the right time.

Also, I've been ambushed by growlithes and arcanines too. It depends where you are. I also found a small amount of magnemites, but they were floating about next to a cave I was entering.

Showing up in caves might be related to the difficulty level tag (or whatever it is, I don't mod much).  Will play around with it and report findings; I want to fight vicious hordes of voltorbs!

Nearly killed a Raticate by severing a whisker, pretty funny.

EDIT:

Adding difficulty tags seems to have made a difference, just ran into a magnemite in a cave.  Killed it instantly, because I severed its insides.  Somehow.

Raticate's whiskers are body parts. I don't know how to make them less vital, but usually most creatures with whiskers need the things for balance and get pretty fucked up if you lop them off.

Also, creatures that have their whole body being their head had an unfortunate glitch of being nothing but a floating head with no organs. The game doesn't like it when I try to shove the upper, lower body and head tags into one part. That's why some of them have 'insides', where their organs are. I'm fairly certain I made them internal though...

Also also, I'll fuck around with the difficulty tags when I get home.

I can guarantee that the insides aren't inside.  It makes them regrettably easy.

Rapidashes were fun to fight.  The self-destruct stuff is wicked, I had to go golem hunting for science.  Easily avoidable for an adventurer, though.

I'm glad to see you're so enthused! ^^

I'll work on making the pokemon a little less easy to destroy. (I did notice how easy it was to kill a magnemite, especially after I threw it's own magnet at it's insides somehow.) Instead of having internal bits, we'll just have tri-segmented heads. >w>"

Also, question, are the Golems tough enough? They don't survive long in the legends (but megabeasts barely do) and I haven't run into one myself yet. If they're tough enough to put up a decent fight, I'll leave them as is, if they are just average, I'll bump them up a notch.

Also, I might release a v.0.2.2 soon, with mods :3 Sorry about the delay on the last 50, I really need to work on that! ^^;

They are a little weak.  Without much training, I was able to lop off pretty much all of one's arms and legs after a few hits.  Too bad the new material raws aren't implemented.  Arcanine was pretty easy, too.  Haven't encountered any other semimegas.

Are the evolutionary stones supposed to appear in soil layers?  I see them all the time just crawling through superficial caves.

I cant wait for this mod in the next version.
Greater game articulation and perhaps actual evolving.
As for pokeballs and catching, perhaps an out of game hack that replaces the square a certain modded in throwable weapon lands in with a cage trap.

if someone is curious i made new prefstring for something like 30 pokes, not because it is hard, but because it is boring (i go to the bulbapedia dex page read all the pokedex entries and anything that seems relevant, and try to come up with some new ideas (although i must say they are rare, and will not blow any minds))

and im pretty lazy (ten pokes a day don't make me a hero or anything) (tomorrow i will try to make fifty or something) (or you know, finish it)

now im aiming to send them to doomshifter before she releases the new version

you know, just to let your dwarves say they like ivysaurs because they have sturdy legs and a sweet aroma or that they love Pidgey sharp sense of direction

(Had to fix something in your post. It's a minor pet hate of mine.)

Also, if you'd like, send me the prefstrings and I'll see about shoving them all in. Don't feel obligated to do so! ( After all, I'm being incredibly lazy myself ^^; )

@Bricks
Okay, I'll bump them up a bit for the next update.

And evolutionary stones show up in different layers each. Leaf stones show up in the soil, because that is where plants grow! Fire stones show up in the layer Obsidian shows up in, water stones show up in certain layers in and around aquifers, etc.

Used to happen to me all the time, even after I changed to my current avatar. :-\

I humbly suggest that when you make Magmar, they should have the previously mentioned problem with Rapidashes: upon butchering, Bad Things happen.
