Finished this a while a go, but I'm not really happy with it. Probably because "finished" ended up more like "gave up on"

Also, I made myself an avatar, but it's silly and rushed. I still like it though.

If someone would like to take on a challenge, I believe this should be a pretty good one. There are also some game rewards involved. Thanks for your time! (the topic I linked is on the same board, but there is a lot of text and I would clutter this topic)

Art like that is never not useful. If only to awe your fellow forumgoers.
No seriosuly, that is insanely good. Just... The buildings look a bit cheap. As if you rectangle-tooled them in as an afterthought. Especially those on the left. But I'm still setting this as my wallpaper. And you can't stop me. *insert evil laugh*

Oh wow, don't think I've had that happen before :D

Incredibly happy someone would consider doing that :D

Anyways, yeah, the buildings came as an annoyed afterthought after I couldn't, for the life of me get the reflections on the ground to look good.

Well, Dwarf Fortress has finally moved me to create (or at least attempt to create) some kind of art. It's currently a work in progress. Please forgive the mediocrity of this work, for it is the first real thing I drew in maybe 4 years. Also, please forgive the words on the other side of the paper, I drew this on impulse in my journal and did not think about it until now.

I would very appreciative of critique, although please be gentle; my buns are quite sensitive.

You guys sure do create some unique, weird and cool stuff. I should check by here
more often.

I haven't posted here in years for some unknown reason, but I might as well post some now.
A couple illustrations, and some Google Earth Plein Air.
Since some of you here are out to learn
painting stuff, you can shoot me a message anytime if you want some help.

You in that Virtual Plein Air group on Facebook too?

I've done a couple of those myself, they're quite fun, even if it takes a bit to find a right place :D

Yea, man, I am. I've only posted once though.
You're spot on, though, finding a place can be tricky.

My god, those are so pretty to look at. I really like how you do the grass in the foreground. It's the perfect mix of blotchy and sharp details.

hay guise

I'm now going to take a daring step into this hallowed land and seek advice for my hapless doodlepaintings. Worth noting is that i am an exceptionally lazy man, and can rarely be bothered to spend more than 1-2 hours on my most detailed things... Which are not very detailed as a consequence. But i'm not expecting you guys to help me not be a lazy fuck, since that would be pretty much impossible. Nay, i have different problems, mostly pertaining how2texture and how to make my things not look like clay.

Here's my 3 most recent paintings to show you what i mean:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's also very hard for me to draw landscapes properly, but i think that's just a matter of actually studying them versus sitting and guessing like i do at the moment. Should you notice more than what i have mentioned, please do mention it. It's getting increasingly hard to improve on my own, and getting anywhere NEAR what Tofu can do would damn near classify as a wet dream to me, but so help me <relevant deity> i will fucking chase that dream until i stumble over it and go like "stop that it's silly, you're supposed to be escaping me".
