If there's way to mod in "clay gather zone" and "gather lump of clays in bucket", then I'd like to put in Pottery Workshop where it takes bucket of water and clay to create unfired pot or some sculpture. Then use kiln to firing them.

The closest you might expect to be able to do is to have a workshop that needs water to work that can create clay objects and then have the/a kiln building that needs fuel to transform them into fired versions of the object. However, don't bet on being able to check for water.

No moods? Didn't Toady say there would be artifacts possible with the custom workshops?

That was what we thought he meant, but it seems he was saying that you could allow for artifacts to be used for construction (like an artifact bucket or anvil).  Very disappointing, but I guess changing that code is outside the scope of this update.
