I, for one, love my current names on my fortress. They were all random too, I didn't touch the name changing.

Gataldasdot, "The Ageless Swords" - Civ

Geshudkosh, "Fortressslaughters" - Fort

(Unsure of where to find Dwarven translation for group) "The Boat of Incineration" - Group

Cheater:
While trying to generate a cool random name for my fortress, I got "The Incinerated Fortress". It's really a shame I decided against having that auto-flooding magma moat.

EDIT: Wait, fortress names don't include "the". I guess it was the group's name.

My current fortress, Dragonskull, I picked myself.  Other's I've had are Ceilingsteel, Pointyropes, Paddlebears and Ringsmiths.

Untelligent:
My dwarven civilization name is "The Pully of Comedy".

Its symbol (a dwarf) is called "The Mechanical Comedies."
