Would you say an organ-meat burger makes for a ... hearty meal?

I went thrifting again today! This time, over the course of my lunch break, my goal was a coffee maker for the workplace. End result- a really nice Braun coffee maker for five and a half bucks and liquid fuel for our corner of tech support. Consider my "introduction of coffee to workplace" project complete- all that's left are peripheral details, like sugar and creamer.

Speaking of projects, the job has fallen onto me to test all of our surplus monitors for sale later. There's probably a hundred of the things and I've got a little more than a third of it done and a good chunk of it sorted around. It may be low-priority surplus stuff, but it's getting done, which makes me feel good.

I think the animal products in the burger are smart - well, at least 10% of them.

Make sure you get powdered creamer, just in case you need to blow something up.

I was hoping for more organ puns, and you de-liver'd.
I'm sorry.

Er... Blow something up? It'll probably be powdered non-dairy anyways (yay), but the explosive nature of the powdered coffee creamer is unbeknownst to me. Care to explain that one?

Powder can react very quickly with oxygen in the atmosphere because it has a huge amount of surface area to mass. Creamer, flour, oatmeal, etc are all carbohydrates made of carbon. Therefore, when powdered in the air, a spark can produce a sizeable explosion. It's a real risk in food factories that loose powder in the air might explode with a spark.

The office HAS been really damn sparky as of late with the weather, but I'm not certain that with the quantities our small team could consume or keep preemptively that explosions are anything to be concerned about.

Nope! We just have CRT monitors which can hold a massive charge and "death cards" in old eMacs, which are conveniently also CRT monitors. Also, floppy drive Counter Strike and "oops I dropped that Mac" are both games well known in the workplace. I was offered HDD + hammer baseball as a means of wiping the drive in the aforementioned eMac, and really old printers are slightly prone to "accidents" that make things go crunch.

The former options aren't as messy. Destruction and (primarily) recycling is a big part of the job- can't really recycle smouldering plastic and ruptured mercury batteries, y'know?

I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a good pun, but I just don't have the gut instinct for it.
Not going to mince words with you, but you've got to be heartless to continue making jokes that bad.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

You monkeys have ground every last bit of humour out of these organ jokes.

Or have you?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
