House's power has been fixed! Probably! Half the house is no longer dead and the other half intermittently flickering! So far! Huzzah!

Is everyone clustered in the working half, fighting over outlets so they can charge their phones and laptops?

... they weren't? The house is... bigger than that. Plus there's only two people here at the moment, and one phone and one laptop between them, and working outlets in several different rooms. No need to cluster or fight. Also the laptop just kinda' stays plugged most of the time anyway so... whatever.

Only real difficulty involved has been mostly-no microwave and the other person actually wanting to turn on TVs, which ended up involving a drop cord.

Saw Homefront today, in a sneak preview.

I liked it.

I haven't been able to find someone to go as an anime-obsessed weeaboo to the tacky prom (surprise, surprise), so I'm doing one better and ordering an anime body pillow to be my date.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

So, in short, I've just beaten Long Live the Queen.
I smashed it, I stomped it, I incinerated it! I've shown this game who's boss, goddammit! It thought it was so smart with its sudden [Battlefield Medicine] and [Decoration] checks, but nooooo... All fell before the might of my [Swords] prowess! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!

There had better be some pictures in the picture thread once it happens.  :P

in the name of everything that's left sacred in this world at least don't make yourself look completely serious about it.

Going to school while still pretty sick wasn't fun, but I was able to acquire all missed schoolwork.

This means that if I'm not better tomorrow (which I probably won't be), I won't have to go to school, since I would be working on that stuff anyway.

So, guys. Anyone know any good mapping tools I can use for DnD? I only need dungeon/battlemaps, but a world map maker is an added bonus.
There are a few options I like, depending on your needs. World maps are a bit harder, but here is a good guide to doing it in Photoshop, which is compatible with the CS2 version that's freely available these days.

EDIT: Also, spearmint + chamomile is insanely delicious. Why did nobody tell me about this?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I use Maptools as well, its a good system when you get past the initial hate that people seem to have about it. Though I am slowly being dragged towards Roll20 due to its macro, Maptools just seems to have a better map building system compared...

Just finished metal gear solid: peace walker hd version for the playstation 3.

It's like its trying to piss me off with arena fights on main missions and Incapability to use stealth on certain levels but at the end I'm like DAMN YOU MGS, WHY IS THIS SO GOOD?!
Just don't like mgs1, 2 or 4 however, mabye it's because of the environments.
