From what I've seen, most people don't get enough vitamin D in the winter months in colder climates. Not only are daylight hours reduced to when you have to be indoors for work, but winter clothing blocks off most of your skin. Thinking about it, I have no idea how we get a vitamin from sun... do we produce it when exposed to sunlight? That would make sense.

A car trip in full sun every day normally gets you set, but I can imagine weaker sun and more clothing making it less efficent.
