What convention is that?

We got Piper at the con last year. Tenant doesn't really do cons, but there's always (faint) hope. 2 years ago Sylvester McCoy was a guest, and he had some awesome anecdotes.

Is that one not so big yet that it's still possible to get in?

The one I go to is Gallifrey One.

Well, despite being the capital of Canada, we aren't that large of a city. I imagine Toronto's sells out quickly, but I think you can usually get in even if you buy at the door here, though I don't know for sure. I should at least still have a month or two before it sells out if it does.

Just watched an episode of Modern Marvels about the '90s

It ended with the Playstation, but the second-to-last thing they had was a piece about Doom and John Carmack's modding system

so that made me pretty happy, watching a piece on game mods on the TV

The Carmack inverse square root is basically the programming equivalent of e^(pi*i) + 1 = 0, sooo...
(Even if Carmack didn't actually invent it)

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Delicious potatoes... I vapor them in a basket inside a pressure pot and then liberally lace them with olive oil and pepper....

better than chips, IMO.

They pretty much addressed it with Steel Legion.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I recall seeing a comment on that image that the dude that drop kicked through the window was a bit slow on the draw but on reflection I think the driver would be stunned enough that he would have plenty of time to get his handgun out.

By that stage the car was already surrounded. He wouldn't stand a chance.
