(That is a lie I like cartoons, including Japan-style cartoons)
But I was going for the Galadriel angle.  Apparently I referenced the movie version rather than the book version, though.  Mia culpa :P

In 40k news, played a few games for the first time in a long time. (Prefer hobby to tabletop usually.)
We're currently playing a campaign wherein losses are permanent. Start with 5x 2000 point armies and divide survivors amongst them as the campaign progresses.
Which is kinda cool.

First games were up against an Imperial Knights player. (Basically big overpowered mechs)
However- he had immediately attacked the hex I had fortified and dedicated to killing superheavy vehicles.
But I had made a few clerical errors which really bit me in the ass over the course of the game.

tl;dr, after two (kinda Pyrrhic) victories, I've lost about ~1300 points, whilst he has lost ~3000 points.
Pretty happy with that turnaround.

Sounds like a fun concept!  Routing enemies off the map would be a lot less effective than usual, I guess.

Held my snake a little today to start getting him used to handling.

Holding something so small and delicate gives me much the same feeling as I get from holding a newborn baby, or a young kitten, or an aquatic worm in a lab experiment.

It makes me feel all fuzzy inside.  :)
