Frankly, I don't think the EU purge affects stuff that happened before the movies so much as what happened during/after the movies, since they are changing canon a lot.

Yeah, I know that they kept some things. Problem is, a lot of other stuff is only headcanon now.

In the EU, Han and Leia have three children; a set of twins and a younger son. The male twin does wind up turning to the dark side, which is almost what happened in FA. Also, Chewbacca dies before Han does.

I think I'm going to have to imagine that the new movies take place in an alternate reality of the original canon. An AU to the EU

I got a BIG FAT SMARTPHONE and a fancy multi-colour LED strip that uh... Lost its red light seconds after turning it on, so we're having that replaced. But hey, it'll be cool when i get it. :v
