Welp, i've arrived at folk high school, gotten my room and done some introductory thingmajigs. It ain't a big room, but it's mine, and boy i'm glad i wished for a solo room, because i am SPENT. Doesn't help that i was about two steps short of panicking before setting off from home, and well into the "physically unable to remain still" level of stress and nervosity. I'm no stranger to being nervous, but it's rare that i let off so many compulsive nervous giggles in such a short time. >.>

ANYWAYS, place seems neat, people are nice, and they don't seem to mind that i'm apparently the second oldest of the long-term students right now. I also got to play Cards Against Humanity because me and a few others were uninterested in watching the OL handball match, which was great fun. :v

but people are being too damn noisy outside and i want to go to sleep

Wikipedia explains better than i do (i'm in the Danish variation), but long story short, it's an educational thing with housing and without exams, so basically you only go there if you want to. It's as much of an experience as it's about learning, really, since i won't get any degree for it (but i will be able to write it on my CV). Much unlike most other educational things in Denmark, there is actually a tuition for this, but given that it pays for both food (three meals a day, wob wob) and housing along with everything else, i think that's pretty fair.

I guess, but there's a whole lot more to it than just studying. I prefer to think of it as paying for a nice chunk of personal development, plus it was basically the only thing i could go to in all of Denmark that's directly focused on game development from the get-go. It's also something to do while i'm trying to figure out what to do with myself. :v

Not a bad deal, but I suppose youre expected to actually participate in the edumacations. Is it cheaper than renting your own place?

My computer shut down from overheating, prompting me to notice that, somehow, both the top and back fans had stopped working!


Thankfully, I got the back one online, but the top one is being quite stubborn. It'll spin a little bit if I poke it, far more than my poke's force could give, but then it stops.The back one just started moving with one poke, though.


This is a happy because it's gonna be the hottest days around here soon, so if it hadn't shut down and told me that "OI! I'm too warm!", well, I wouldn't be able to post this. Overheating machines suck.

It's a compatibility patch between the excellent mods New Horizons and Kerbalism that adds semi-proper magnetic fields to all the bodies in the New Horizons solar system

EDIT: I think next I'll do something a bit more ambitious... there's a "unified field theory" node in the Community Tech Tree that I haven't found filled by anything but KSP Interstellar, and what it filled it with is this part that generates a buttload of electricity but I can't figure out how to get it to work, so I figure I should probably do something with that idea. I mean, I even know what "unified field theory" means, and I can imagine a whole lotta sci-fi hooey that can be drummed up from that.
