Also last night's Halloween party was pretty great.
I feel like at first people weren't making the most of the amazing set up and all the effort my friends had put into things, but I think things picked up later on at around the point that my memory turned to mush.

It was an early party due to one friend being out of town on the actual date of Halloween, but costumes still happened. I went as Otto Mann.

I've been in a pretty serious funk for a few days for complicated reasons, but on a whim I decided to check if there were any videos of Bob Ross on YouTube.  I discovered that the Joy of Painting series is all there, for free, so I started watching them.

It was literally impossible for me to feel anything but happiness while watching.  Happy little rocks, because that's the only kind we've got.  Got some baby clouds, because you can't have big clouds without baby clouds.  And a little baby tree over there, because when you get a few big trees around, a baby one's bound to pop up.

I wish the techniques he used translated directly to Corel Painter.  I think you can kind of do it though, and Corel has some specific tutorials for painting like him in Painter, so I need to look over them.

I got a lot done today, but my lungs seem to have taken a beating. I'm occasionally finding it hard to breath, and I'm coughing all the time, and has given me the sniffles on top of that. I feel like my airways are contricting, just to be vindictive, so I dug up an old (maybe 6-7+ years old) albuterol inhaler that still has some gas in it, so that's keeping me alive. It's only appropriately ironic that trying to live healthier makes me sick. I'm not upset at all though, I feel a little bit more in control of my life and my self.

I had pleurisy a couple years back for an entire winter, we tried Zyrtec and I have no idea if it was helping because it produced a rather alarming side effect: suicidal thoughts... which is something I've never actually experienced before, hence the alarm and immediate decision to never touch that shit again. I'll take a cough and chest pain over urges to shut everything off any day.
