That is a normal, not-an-alcoholic amount to drink. Good job.
...It is? ???
That's like, less than a relaxed dinner with family amount of drink!

Yeah see, exactly, that's drinking for a reason other than getting shitfaced and that is therefore healthy. Ergo, good job.

I managed to only drink two beers and no shots. That's significantly less than normal. Now I just need to keep up the trend.
Awesome!

Well I've reduced the act of laying out, rough cutting, forming, fitting, and mounting a blade in a handle to a trivial exercise.
Spoiler: TRIVIAL. EXERCISE. (click to show/hide)
Now to bite the bullet and order materials.

Headcount: 20 mine, 3 for my mom, the missus has 2, mother-in-law has 1, although one of the saws is a saw float (like a really narrow rasp meant for deepening saw plate slots) but by species it is:
1 10 inch dovetail
1 12 inch tenon <~ completely made from scratch out of non-saw parts
1 12 inch carcase
1 6 inch tenon
1 6 inch dovetail
1 15 inch panel <~ my only remaining non-replaceable saw which hasn't been retoothed fully
1 5 inch 2-piece screw-tensioned frame saw (using scroll saw blades)
1 5 inch 3-piece screw-tensioned frame saw (using scroll saw blades)
1 6 inch 2 piece rope tensioned frame saw (using coping saw blades)
1 6 inch metal coping saw
1 10 inch rope tensioned hacksaw
1 12 inch rope tensioned hacksaw
1 3 inch panel saw
1 5 inch camp/bench/panel saw
1 2 inch dovetail marking saw
1 3 inch demo saw
1 6 inch concept dovetail saw

Hmmm, I think that covers them but I'm not sure.

And yeah, an odd hobby but it's just so satisfying getting everything formed into this shape that you can take aim and start working through a chunk of wood without blasting dust into the air everywhere, without deafening the neighbors, without risking a lost finger or hand (gotta be REALLY determined to keep cutting past the initial "ouch, shit" moment, too metal for this earth yo) and after some time and effort working with your tools you wind up assembling a box or a table or drawer or little chair or something you made, flaws and errors and whatnot included because if you really care to go for it, you can get to perfect, but starting out you need something to help you turn a pile of wood into a bunch of sawdust, wood chips, and something you did. So yeah, I've got an assortment of blades in various stages of work and numerous handles intended to be used or used as patterns and fully intend to start up production until I get hopefully swamped with orders but accordingly want to make sure I've got a little bit of a backlog started before announcing because it's very easy to get overwhelmed as it is a finicky process with a loosely floating number of consistent makers, but hey, I enjoy making them and seeing others using them, why not try to see if I can get a little income stream rolling and service a segment I think I've found, right?

I'd buy a Maxsaw. My dad's a carpenter/contractor and a woodworker himself so he'd appreciate it as a gift.

Max should have a Youtube channel where he looks at movies and counts how many saws appear in the background and what type.
