I guess those would work on the Australian wildlife, but it seems a bit impractical
Breed with them, assimilate them into your culture, no more problems.

Wait, my bad, I forgot folks in Oz don't breed...

Australians mate.
You bastard, that's great.
This has made me so full of hate.

Look, the only real way to solve the problem is to root it out. ;)

How many people do you think joke "I don't think we're in Kansas any more" when they get off the plane in Australia?

No idea.  I suspect there is a greater incidence rate of "Dingo ate my baby!" references both on and off the plane though.

What evidence do you have to koalify that statement?

Hey you might think it's crazy but this shit is happening.
Completely from scratch, that is, previously I've been working with repurposing existing saws or scraper blades rather than diving into the whole "rolls of spring steel and brass sheets" type of shit.

Yeah, looking at that shopping list I already know you have "wood on hand", no need to be explicit.

Giggity, about to go start hogging material off a big 5 and a half foot board to knock out a few blanks, if you know what I mean.

What's that supposed to mean?! I'll have you know I have had at least one seck in the course of my lonesome, misanthropic existence. :P

In other news, I think my medication might be slowly starting to kick in. At least a couple of situations which would normally having me just about disintegrating with anxiety have been surprisingly mild over the past day or so.
I'll not get my hopes up just yet, but maybe this stuff is actually helping. I was going to say something else but I have forgotten.

Edit: oh, yeah, I was tired and not in a particularly great mood at those moments, too, so normally I think I would have been more prone to anxiety, not less.

Facebook is malfunctioning. The horror, the horror.

Also I'm happy that people are trying X-Piratez lately!  The WH40k mod too, which I need to give a shot.

The first picture here, the thing on the bottom has now been christened the saw saw because I realized I was able to get more control by eliminating the throat of the actual hacksaw frame and sinking the blade into a long enough block to hold a 10 or 12 inch blade, with a rest on the back for my forearm to apply more even pressure as I ease into the process of cutting out plates.
The third pic on the other hand is my first cut from scratch dovetail saw plate lined up roughly in position with the smaller Smilodon handle it will be going into. Now I'll keep chopping out plates/handles to stock up while I'm waiting for my brass sheet and brass sex bolts to arrive, along with the newer saw files, scroll saw blades, a little pin vise twist drill, and a single carbide drill bit for putting nice holes in this blued steel.

The blue coating will accumulate lines and scrapes and such over time as it isn't an abrasion resistant surface, and personally I think that will give it a really neat looking and very personal sort of character as each user puts their own history on the sides of their saw blade.

Then you realize it is on there to help with corrosion resistance, it coincidentally reduces the friction of the plate sides against wood, and looks AWESOME I think, so I can't imagine why someone would go through the trouble dunking it in some muriatic acid or taking it to a grinding wheel just to end up with yet another ordinary looking bit of metal there.

I had two breakthroughs in Fallout 4: I have some idea how electricity works, and I realized you can build multi-level structures (the stairs are hiding in the "wooden structures" menu.) I am now happily addicted again and will gladly go on whatever dumb mission Preston sends me on because it takes hundreds of units of steel just to get a nice-looking labor camp apartment complex going.
