I'm mostly seeing depictions of Rouge with the head of an actual bat, which is pleasantly bizarre.

That would be like if Nick Fury himself had a movie before talking about the Avenger's Initiative.
If we're talking about the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, I'd rather hope that the Detective Pikachu movie is not in the same universe.

Also, I didn't watch the whole trailer, because Sonic, but in this movie are his quills electric?

I can't google potential sonic fan art at work.

What a shame, I'll have to put my eye bleach back in the drawer.

Yes. Jim Robotnik ends up shocking himself when trying to taste one.

Calling him Jim Robotnik forever now, by and by.

It's clearly not Ivo Robotnik, nor the Eggman, so Robotnik's inbred cousin Jim probably fits better anyway.

It's horrifying. Truly horrifying
I dunno. What if they gave her pants in order to deal with the salaciousness of vest+nothing?

It still erks me how we came to accept cartoon animals wearing a shirt but no pants back in the day, or why only female cartoon animals absolutely have to wear pants, but its okay to depict males totally nude. Why is the world of cartoon animals like this? Where did the pants come from and where did they go?

Easiest and clearest way to depict femininity (especially cartoon animals) at a quick visual glance is with feminine attire, unless you include boobs. Most cartoon animal shows ain't into that. Simple as that, though I'm sure there are some underlying cultural discussions to be had as well.

It's Ivo Robotnik, according to IMDB.

Gotta be honest I'd be 100% willing to go see this if it wasn't for how remarkably creepy Sonic looks.

What part of "It's clearly not Ivo Robotnik" is hard to parse? IMDB is wrong and if the movie makers are claiming otherwise they're heathen liars. Eggman only comes in one shape and that shape is egg. Skinny Robotnik can only be cousin Jim. Maybe it's crazy cousin Jim and he thinks he's his better relative, who knows. The Robotnik line probably isn't the most stable.

OK FIRST OF ALL YOU NEANDERTHALIC PLEBIAN

I agree Jim is a better name and I'm definitely still calling him Jim Robotnik. Good call.

SECONDLY, actually your explanation sounds really fun so let's go with that. I'm going with Cousin Jimbo McBotnik in my head.

So is this being made by people who never played the games, like the Hitman movies?
