an old 286 class system so that his CF->IDE adapter would report the correct size volume. (because this thing was made in 1980!!)

Do you mean the adapter itself was made in 1980? Because that PC definitely wasn't.

It would have been faster if you used bazookas Weird, but great work regardless!

Joshua, you are seeing it from the wrong angle, why stop at the LoTR? The other Tolkien books would be a natural extention. Then George R.R. Martin ones, but this would only make them a little bit more violent. But why stop at fantasy, Fifthy Shades of Kaboom! would be at least interesting... Then we finish up to the Bibble, M9A1 edition.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?
My ship exploded midflight, but all the shrapnel totally landed on Alpha Centauri before anyone else did.  Bow before me world leaders!

Nitpicker-- The portable II was released in 1986, happy?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compaq_Portable_II

The portable I (which the portable II builds on) was one of the first near 100% ibm compatible clones (and was an XT). The Portable II uses a 286, and is an AT clone.  A very early AT clone.  The point is not really the exact year it was made, but that it was from the era where mask roms were highly expensive, and so this thing does not have a rom based cmos setup program, AND, the implementation of CMOS it uses is very.... Primitive. (with no disk type 47 for a custom disk geometry, which is why a CF->IDE adapter needs some TLC from disk manager. You have to specify a fixed disk type that does not really match the card installed in the adapter, then use DM's overlay to fix the geometry with the correct custom values.)

You're still thinking too small, Baal. We have to go at the entire dictionary. Every word, redefined to mean some kind of explosive, or the act of exploding. It's the only way.

I feel like the whole "Let my people go" bit from Exodus/The Bible would be even weightier if Moses was hefting a bazooka.

But then Yahweh doesn't get to show off.

Exodus states that Yahweh deliberately hardened Pharaoh's heart to prevent him releasing the Israelites. If Pharaoh had just let Moses' people go, Yahweh wouldn't have been able to engage in as many acts of divine terrorism.

On the other hand, bazookas are pretty terrifying...

And Moises uses a huge ass bazooka to split the sea.

On other no bazooka related news, how anyone that has at least knowledge porn exists can say BBC out loud without crying in laugther. I had a lot of fun over a twitter thread about if the BBC people are racist against non-black people....

Puts a whole new spin on the whole Action Bible thing.

Now I need a bible movie directed by Michael Bay.

Ummmmm.....  old testament god can deliver plenty of opportunities for action.

Sodomy and meteor showers.
golden cows and earthquakes.
menstruation and lightning.
Whole bloodlines getting smote at once.
Chariots of fire with faces that hurt to look upon.
Flood.
Frogs, pestilence, and brimstone.
Murdering the firstborn of a whole region.
Job.
Swords that rotate every direction.  a ball of swords.
being an actual dick and making people die.
Making childbirth painful.  Good single-handedly invented the field of midwifery.

hmmmm some of these are less 'michael bay, please pimp my bible' and more 'look at good adding conflict into life'.

The plague of frogs always felt like an odd one out to me. Nobody dies or gets hurt. It's just frogs.
You can collect them for an easy meal, and they'll probably eat all the mosquitoes and locust in the area. Overall a good thing, I reckon. Kinda odd, but hardly on the level of exploding a city for doing butt stuff.
