I think a girl might be into me
She's called me tall dark and handsome like three times
We talk for hours every day
She says I'm smart
And that my poetry is amazing.

More to the point I actually like her and feel relaxed around her
(Don't worry, I'm not so stupid as to believe her. That way lies hubris and the wrath of the gods)
Wait, isn't having a girl you like actually express interest in you more of a Terrified thread thing? Or is that just me?

You guys are getting attention?

I second this sentiment

Merry Christmas! Even though the one we celebrate in Russia is in January and is much quieter. New Year is the one with all the shopping and parties.

Just see where it goes?

The worst that can happen is that you learn from the relationship.  The best?  Well, I'll leave that to you.

Merry Christmas for everyone! I had a non horrible/depresing one, which is a win on my book.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?
My ship exploded midflight, but all the shrapnel totally landed on Alpha Centauri before anyone else did.  Bow before me world leaders!

Wow, it looks just like a marble. If that's edible then I want one.

It is in fact edible! It isn't actual cake in the sense of "made with flour and eggs," but it is/was a trendy Japanese dessert. There is a recipe here if you are curious.

I picked up Fae Tactics in the Steam Winter Sale, and this is the kind of tactics game I've always wanted. Just a very enjoyable tactical experience where the game gives you the tools, and leaves it to you to figure out how to win. I consider it a hallmark of great game design when it feels like there's nothing wasted in the design of the game, and it really feels like everything has it's own place and purpose, nothing is pointless.

Like, more than a couple times now I'll stumble over a game mechanic that I didn't notice before, and my reaction is "OoOoOh! This changes everything!" and I love that. The challenges in the game are tough, and the game gives you the option of grinding out levels, but being able to triumph over them with nothing but your own wit and gumption is possible, and very rewarding.

I'm always a little sad about raindrop cakes because they're beautiful but I don't really like jelly :(
