plant EYES inside of our BRAINS

no, no, inside our skull, so we can see our brains

well

maybe some inside the brain, too

actually just line everything inside and out with eyes, might as well be thorough!

except, like

maybe not the intestines and whatnot

But what if you forgot what you'd eaten awhile back and wanted to know, with eyes in your intestines you would get the answer!

Well....

No. You'd also need a light source.

Some form of phosphorescent fungus, perhaps?

I wear disposable contact lenses rated for 2 weeks of use each. I wear them for about 2 months each...so every couple of months when I finally put in a new pair I get that glorious feeling of clear vision and not-itchy eyes!  ;D

Here it is well known that UK pipes always freeze in winter because the silly Brits always put the piping on the outside of their houses.

I have no actual idea how based in truth this knowledge is.

Semi-true. A lot of our buildings pre-date indoor plumbing, so when retrofitted often outside walls were the places chosen for installation.

They dont "always" freeze, but as I discovered with my own burst water main not so long ago, it is a common enough occurance for utility companies to have well established protocols in place for when it happens.

I've heard that too. My problem is more that half the house is... 'outside' by heating terms. Too many holes in the wall and roof, I think. It's more common if you're in a caravan or such, but at least then you're smart enough to leave the water running at a drip to avoid it. ;_;

Also an actual happy (since apparently I can't stop posting things in the wrong threads):

The chimken is getting better :D Was pretty sure she was a goner 10 days ago. The medication and relentless hand feeding/watering seems to have worked.  ;_;

Excellent. That is good news! For me it would be the first time I hear of a chicken surviving sickness.

I'm sorry for not being active here much.

But, here in Mongolia there is traditional new year now. Prepared food with help of parents. Bought beer. Everyone I invited (mostly Irl friends) got Covid tested shortly before so no worries regarding that.
