Wow LOL. No, I'm just listening to her music while grading and no longer want to remove my own eyeballs with a rusty spoon, so, that's a start.

Yeah, that's a good thing. Been on a cab calloway kick with a similar feeling for a, uh. Couple months now? Fellow made some questionable tracks (chinese rhythm, never again), but a lot of it's just pure joy. Tracked it down from a PiSK remix of jumpin' jive, loaded up a random youtube playlist at work afterwards, and ain't had reason to look back, heh.

If nothing else, it can be nice if you got work you can load up music and chill while you do it.

I mean, its free money.

for her, its a reliable income.

I played my FIRST SHOW at an RP venue in FFXIV, and it went really well and it was great.

Did you get paid for it or are you just doing it for the exposure rn?

Oh I'm just doing it for funsies in general. Some venues pay, some don't. People do tip from time to time, and these people TIPPED HUGE. I was sort of floored.

I could care less about whether or not it's a paid gig, I just want a crowd to play for. :)

Highlight was one of the lil' RP couples was nervous about dancing, because they had a dance floor at the place, so I got to play Shut Up And Dance on cue.

I see this is not your first ro day oh, drag XD

No idea, but they appreciated it! I haven't done any RP since I was a cringey teenager, but it was fun to watch them all having fun and to help them along.

I was able to play like an hour or so of Kenshi today.  Doesn't sound like much, but I haven't really "felt" like playing any video/computer games for several weeks.

So a sign of getting back to my normal of happily fiddling away my time on video/computer games.  Yay!

Oh, and in the two Venture forums games I'm playing, I've successfully loaned out all my money.  Strange sense of accomplishment in strange times.
I recall commenting in the office, "So I'm going to play an online game about successfully running a business, since I can't make a profit in real life!"
Actually, I did manage to pay my taxes, so yay!

So, happy? I had a job interview over Zoom today, and was immediately hired on as a Remote, work-from-home Customer Service Rep for a company. Obvious I need the money to live, I'm literally running out of money and I need a paycheck coming in so I don't go flat broke by the start of July, I'm just tentative, I don't know how it's going to go. I presume well, it doesn't seem nearly as demanding as my previous job, but working from home is new to me, and I know how bad I am at disciplining myself.

I'll just assume a stance of cautious optimism until proven wrong I suppose.

I'm guessing the hours will be fixed, so you don't have to be quite as disciplined as you think. Congrats!

Ooh, remote customer service. Welcome to the nightmare realm :P

... maybe it won't go too badly, here's hoping. My outside view of customer service jobs is that they consist of literally nothing but horror stories. Go out of my way to not make trouble for folks doing that kind of work when I have reason to call one.

Occasionally they just straight up thank me for it, yikes. Any case, good luck! May it pay the bills and not the therapist's christmas bonus.
