Once more we have cocking gas! HahahahahahMauahahahaha (more evil laugh)....

A electrical pot exploded earlier this morning and the smoke had barely settled when the guys from the gas company were knocking the door. Two cylinders full of the stuff.

If we continue to ration it and using electrical when there is power they shall last over a year which will make our living a tad easier.

We had to overpay them to get them but it was worthy every darn penny.

my new hobby: watching dog agility challenges

I used to compete in agility! Might start again, not sure. Covid hasn't been great for it.

It is very entertaining. I'm not going to rehash the whole alpha wolf oversimplification but those contest stimulate my imagination hear me out:

Those competition dogs are often selected out of a bunch of specimen that best represent their breed, in a way they are the aristocracy of dogs. And they have their masters. But their master is just as focused and eager to fulfill the orders of the judge, a sight somewhat unseen for humans, to the dogs. So in a way the judges of these competitions are super powerful entities in the perception of the aristocracy of the dogs, moreso than say policemen, actual judges, or high ranked politicians & armymen, the pope, and what have you... To be fair they are rocking their role, impeccable movement, flawless posture, well kempt etc. Footage of this stuff should definitly be on the voyager spacecraft, it might even tell them too much about us  ;D.

when the human fails
I hate this.  I hate that a dog can be taught to play Skifree.
I love that they, obviously, look to their human who has fallen on the ground.

They really are though, they're so good and trying so hard
It drives me crazy-

Hence why I'm a cat-person.  If I need to feed an entity with attention, better it be one that takes me for granted and does their own thing.

I'd rather not be responsible for a dog.  I have been, thanks to my ex-roomate.  The dog was *very* good despite all the things he did.  A very good, old, dog.

A benefit to the big dogs is that you can hug them, though.
