A recent video by SuperEyepatchWolf got me into playing Mother 3, and holy crap is it really good. It's a game that really knows your expectations, and plays with those expectations. That, and it's got a ton of love poured into it; it's unfathomable to think why it wasn't ported over when it was clearly so loved by its creators.

What did you guys cook to celebrate?

I want to play it too, but also earthbound. What is mother1 btw? Super Eyepatchwolf is starting to seriously overdo his own style lol

A benefit to the big dogs is that you can hug them, though.
That's a benefit to all dogs, though? The benefit to big dogs is that they can hug you. Small dogs can only hug like an ankle or whatever. The hugging downside to big dogs is it's much more likely they can escape the hug. The smaller ones mostly stay caught once caught!

Bigguns also make for much better pillows. The little ones just kinda' squirm and whine 'cause you're probably squishing them more than they're comfortable with, y'know?

They really are though, they're so good and trying so hard

That's how you can tell this is a high-level competition >_>

It's already been localized, though!

Just, uh. I don't think officially? Fully playable fan translations have been around for a while now, and a notably improved one released just a few months ago. In april, even :P

I was out running errands and a local family's dog got out and wouldn't run back into their door, so I got to help chase it around and successfully herded it inside. It didn't know me and therefore I was somewhat frightening. Nice family, good cardio, cute pup. Rabbit-sized dogs are really hard to catch.

No, no no no! Fish are friends, not food! We had a whole movie arc about this!

Fish are friends until they're food, right. Then they're friendly food! It was a good movie arc, very filling for folks what eat fish.

...actually, the fish in the tank aren't really good food, and the fish that you eat are too big for the tank.  They're different!

I still think my fish are giving me dirty looks when I eat a Fish Fry in front of them...

Correct.

Also, I bought more snails today to eat algae and an ammonia testing kit, so I can test the ammonia levels erryday until it stops being its current amount of way too frigging high.
