Or it could be large and covered in feathers much like a buffalo is large and covered in fur.
There's this nice illustrated book 'All Yesterdays', attempting to depict dinosaurs in unusual ways, that are still consistent with the fossil record. The idea being that there's a lot of soft tissue and hair/feathers that is not preserved, but contributes in a significant way to how animals look. So there's a lot of wiggle room.
There are fossil imprints of T-rex skin. No feathers

Feathers actually predate dinosaurs, but not all dinosaurs (or even all theropods) had feathers.
Although nowadays they do, of course

That's no fun, t-rexes is one if my favourite dinos to put feathers on because imagine their tiny little arms as being like bird arms, tiny in themselves but also majestic with wings. The tyrant king could have used then for balance or whatever.

For some reason this conversation made wonder what Jurassic Park would have been like if they replaced all the dinosaurs with random birds but otherwise kept the movie the same.

Well mothertaffers I'm sorry for the double-post but this is too big for an edit:

You know those texts that says there's no such thing as luck because if it was, just say finding one lucky four clover would lead to cumulative luck incidents too so one would just keep getting luckier and luckier and luckier and there's no way that would happen right?

Well I used to say that makes sense. But then, just now, after posting about my streak of luck of two four clovers and then a five clover, I went out into my yard to mix some dirt for my plants, and as I happened to look down on the ground as I rolled my wheelbarrow by

The performance oddity I found after 6 hours of profiling and fiddling with raw assembly in horrible ways nobody should ever do was fixed and I am riding the high of optimizing something majorly once again. i can only hope that i will never grow tired of it because it feels PRETTY DANG GOOD, especially now that i'm directly responsible for significant performance improvements in three infamously complex indie-type games
