Festival crew were so happy with me that I got invited to work at Down The Rabbit Hole and at Lowlands as well.
Yay, 3 free festivals this year

IKR.

I used to work at festivals for well over 15 years in the past. Hadn't done so for the past 15 years though, so it's nice to roll back into the field.

It would appear I found a solution to each problem:

USB becoming unresponsive: disable mouse without borders
Tracks going black: switch from window capture to screen capture
Positioning unreliable: use ndi on the canvas not the filter
Auto-gain annoying: map midi signal to keyboard stroke
Using keyboard for gain annoying: convert mouse into keyboard input

Now it didn't like mapping the key to "release left mouse button", but if I can find a key or combination that is less offensive to the OS than a letter, and introduce a tiny delay somewhere, maybe I wont have to think about the volume ever again because it puts it on "default" every time I release the left mouse button after clicking.

Two days ago I had a friendly encounter with a neurosurgeon's scalpel, removing some connective tissue from inside my elbow to give the nervus ulnaris more room.

It all went smoothly. They put local anesthesia into the nerve in my shoulder, using an echo for precision.
Had to wait an hour for it to have completely numbed and incapacitated my arm. Weird feeling, to not be able to move or feel anything there. Surgery took only 15 minutes, slightly more than an hour later I was discharged and on my way home.

I had expected to be more incapacitated afterwards, but fingers, hand and arm are already back in shape enough to type, use my mouse and ride my bicycle. Barely any after-pain, 2 paracetamol are enough to not feel a thing.
This evening I can remove the pressure gauze from the wound.

Now I just need to be careful with stretching and bending my elbow for the next 10 days until the stiches have dissolved and then I can start retraining my muscles back into shape.
Now let's hope it has fixed my ulnaropathy that has been troubling me since october last year (damn you, waiting lists). Succes rate over 95%, so I am optimistic.

Twitter is suing him to continue the deal, mostly because he signed paperwork.

He needs to prove they did something wrong, else it probably still goes through, or he otherwise loses many pennies.

From what I'm picking up, he's going to lose many pennies if it does go through, too -- doesn't have enough liquid funds to make the purchase*, and what he'd have to do to make up the difference is likely to tank his net worth fairly hard. Pretty screwed either way, heh.

*or does, but using it like that would massively depreciate all his other stuff, not quite sure which it is but the specifics hardly matter :V
