I've set up a Christmas tree and have a closet full of presents already. Things have gone well this year, and I'm just feeling good.

That reminds me I only have Christmas presents for one person, really need to do something about that.

Got some personal stuff going on that might work out well, and if it does it'll make me a very happy person.

Good thing is, if it doesn't then it'll still make me happy, just not as much. Slim odds that it'll go utterly arse-over-tit.

Won't go into detail until it's all resolved, but regardless it's a good thing.
So, don't think things are working out the way I hoped. There's a vague possibility, but the doesn't-work-out-but-I'm-still-happy route is still very very likely, and I'm perfectly happy with that.

Looks like Fromsoft has a pretty ballsy plan to avoid being eaten up by Sony.

So yeah, it was a "Dude touch her butt"-type situation. Given how things are, I think she's not interested in me in that way, which yeah, sorta sucks, but I've gone and got a good friend out of the whole thing anyways, and she *is* an awesome person.

Alternately I'm just too oblivious. I'm four-for-four on people who've been trying to hide relationships around me, but still shite at telling if people are into me.

EDIT: Cold's clearing up some. I can actually hack up the phlegm now, although half the time it gets stuck at the top of my throat and sets me off gagging.

Athena (pet tortoise) is home from the vet after having a probable cyst removed from her neck, and she seems to be recovering fine from the anesthesia. She's already tipped a bunch of her salad out of her feeding dish and is basking under her lamp.

I love how some animals just spill shit all over the place for no apparent reason, or even when they're happy.

For a second there I thought you meant them shitting themselves when excited. It's bad enough when a puppy pees in circles from excitement.

I've heard about little kids sometimes getting super excited and crapping their pants, so I don't see why a animal wouldn't do it as well.

My guilty pleasure.

The segment from 1:51 to about 8:00 is somewhat zen-like. It's literally watching car crashes and being unable to turn away.

Athena is built like a little digging machine, her plastron scoops stuff up in front of her all the time, so if she decides to trundle through her food dish or tuck herself low when walking through her bedding it just gets shoveled in front of her the whole time.

I got directed over to the great "Don't make fun of renowned artist Dan Brown" critique and read it again.
Quote
Dan Brown gazed admiringly at the pulchritudinous brunette’s blonde tresses, flowing from her head like a stream but made from hair instead of water and without any fish in.
When I got here I went, hmm... Ima look up pulchritudinous, so I did, and guess what the definition google gave was?
Quote
pul·chri·tu·di·nous

beautiful.
"Dan gazed admiringly at the pulchritudinous brunette"
Lol, they took the sentence from the piece as their example sentence.

Been a week since Athena got her surgery done, and she's still doing perfectly well. Eating, shoving things around, making a mess. Had her at the vet for a checkup yesterday, and her stitches are healing up fine.

Also, I have baked gingerbread cookies for the first time. Results seem alright, but I am not exactly a huge gingerbread fan, so I'll need to wait for my relatives to try them to know for sure.
