I got it working on Windows before, but couldn't get it to run properly under Linux.

It's very fiddly. Either it requires hours of setting and plugin adjustment to get it to work at a stable FPS, or it works just fine out of the box.

 GRRRR.
Or you have enough experience with the damn thing to know what you're doing.
Ahahahahahahah

nah. It's just fiddly.

It helps being able to just burn the iso onto a disk and play on your console... It feels more nostalgic.

I wish Sony would make the PS3 backwards compatible again.

Swords and Serpents

* Earthquake Damage searches for screenshots

...

ZOMG!  I remember seeing a long advertisement/interview/gameplay sorta thing on TV waaay back when about that.  It looked awesome to me at the time, but I never got around to buying it.

I remember watching a similar thing for Serpent Isle, which prompted me to buy U7 (one of the best games ever).  At the time, I hadn't realized there was anything in the series past U6.

What's funny is I don't remember ever seeing any other games showcased on TV like that.  I just happened to catch those two.  I don't know what program they were on, or what station/channel for that matter.

EDIT:  Apparently the forum software understands  "/me" and inserts the correct BB code.  The More You Know...*

Grab an emulator, give it a try. That game was the first truly geeky thing I ever did.

Or you have enough experience with the damn thing to know what you're doing.

Or you're like me and you're used to working with FAR more fiddly software on a daily basis. Just a few tweaks and pokes and it works out of the box. <3

And really. I would of sprung for a real copy if I had my real PS2 still. And a hard drive for it. Metal saga has pretty bad load times without I heard.

Mad Maxwell? Really?

That's a fucking small tank, or those are some fucking huge dudes.

It's just scaling. So tanks don't become unweildly to drive if they were actual size. When the battle started his armored car quickly jumped to scale.

AMAZING PHYSICS VIOLATING TANKS

Oh god, that is so fucking cool, I want to rape physics like Mad Maxwell does.

I have a working PS2 as well.
Meanwhile, I also have a working PS1 and I've also gotten FontForge running natively under Windows and I've installed Cygwin.

Every working PS2 is a working PS1, and you don't get points for having the same card twice.  :P
I think the slim versions took out PS1 compatability. PS3 took it out, despite Sony's assertion that future Playstation versions would have backwards compatability with every previous ones.
