I just learned that one way honeybees fight off intruding hornets and such(as well as assassinating queens) is by swarming them until their target overheats and dies.
I knew honeybees were awesome, but damn.

Meh, I prefer this one. Less likely to induce homicidal rage.

Is it bad that I have this playing in the background? It's damn catchy.

Right?! Especially when she sings it.

Oh please. No one makes it away unscathed. I don't play the games, but I'm hooked on the music.

Voop voop voop~ <3

I have an annotated Bible and food from Morocco and Cameroon, and a new oneshot fanfic idea to work on while I'm researching the next chapter of my big project.  Plus a date for Thai food tonight with the physicist, who apparently fell asleep from sheer exhaustion and wasn't able to make it to lunch.  That's an A-OK excuse in my book.

And lots of Homestuck fanfic to try out (thanks, guys!), and a renewed feeling of Total Okayness.

... The other thing I realized, which sounds like a bizarre piece of fangirling but is somewhat helpful, is that the "troll romance quadrants" have helped me understand some of my social difficulties and the idea of balance between negative and positive relationships.

For example, one of the things that made me happier when I was younger was having a rival whose guts I completely hated.  Spud isn't cutting it (I've officially kicked his ass to the curb), so I'll keep on working on it.

Oh, and I may be able to use that particular four-way partition as an analytical literary tool, as it describes a certain balanced complex that tends to appear, but is forgotten in favor of emphases on romance.  I'm looking forward to giving it a try.  It seems like a good addition to my arsenal <3

For Some reason after reading your post I wondered if anyone had written Christian Bible Fanfic.

They have.  I've read it.

I've also read fanfic for Moby Dick and Heart of Darkness.

What would you call that anyway, Vikaloid? Vikingloid? Vocanorse?

What, you never knew that? It's the internet. They probably have slash for the Teletubbies, the Old Testament, and Regis Philbin. ALL IN ONE.

When you think about it, wouldn't basically the entire genre of Paradise Lost and Divine Comedy style meditations be Biblical fanfics?

Ditto for almost any work of historical fiction that features non-documentary accounts of real people.  What is historical fiction but fanfic of the non-fictional?
