When you think about it, wouldn't basically the entire genre of Paradise Lost and Divine Comedy style meditations be Biblical fanfics?

Ditto for almost any work of historical fiction that features non-documentary accounts of real people.  What is historical fiction but fanfic of the non-fictional?
Not only that, but the Old Testament for sure and the New Testament arguably are themselves fanfiction because they were works expanded upon by authors other than original. In fact, very many folk stories can be considered fanfiction and that's actually one of the genre's hallmarks.

So today my friend got a deal on like 10 pairs of industrial strength 3d glasses. And he found some computer software somewhere that would detect 3d object placement in games and render it compatible with 3d glasses. So he's playing audiosurf and tripping out on how everything pops out at him, and I'm like "hey, man, try Super Meat Boy" and he's like "what no, Super Meat Boy is a 2d game" and I told him just try it. So he boots it up and, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I was right -- Super Meat Boy is a 2d game using 3d technology. The best part is that that was just a lucky guess.

Hello, sweetheart.

You're stuck with that until I think of something better.  Good luck.  If you're really lucky, you'll be named after your country of origin instead of a type of tree.

On the other hand, who wouldn't want to be known as Mr. Ent?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
