Warhammer 40k specifically.
But, that's just the hint.
It's an obvious hint.

Finally made it to Yeti-ville in Spelunky (Zone 3). And I was doing so well with a jetpack and pistol on hand, and I had Kali reward me twice (Got the skull cup with +1 HP gained after abusing some yeti). I died when my jetpack ran out of gas on a jump, and I forgot I had climbing gloves. Argh.

Yeah, I know.  I just saw the numbers and compulsively multiplied ._.

Er... anyway.  Good things.  I'm working through three really nice algebra books right now, and am about to add a fourth (though unfortunately not getting too far in any.  That might have something to do with my studying style >_>).  I'm looking forward to getting back to work with Rudin.

Also, Valentine's Day is coming... and, a couple of days after that, my book on category theory.

Love and mathematics, how frequently you are intertwined.

I have a bad habit of quickly doing simple math in my head too.
I got marked off for not showing my work on a science quiz.
The problem?
60*9.
Seriously, anybody who needs to show work for that does not deserve to be in a 9th grade honours science class.

Yeah, that's pretty appalling.  Funny thing is that I'm still getting marked off for "not showing my work" by graders, though my professors seem to like my work.  Seriously, a 60% got raised to 100% because I got the professor to look at it, rather than a grad student.

Yeah, I impressed my math teacher when I showed her that I know how to count in binary on my fingers and quickly multiply the powers of two.
I also looked at one of her higher level student's textbook to learn how to make spirals and stuff with my calculator (TI-84+ Silver Edition with an electric blue face plate and cover).
The funny part about that is, the day I showed her I could do that, she mentioned that that was the lesson for that day.

I can't math good.
I also learned multiplication before I knew what it was.

In other news, I'm finally progressing in MGS2 on HARD.

Also, A bit of a non-sequitur, but I like mangoes, a lot.

Played a surprisingly fun game of tennis tonight. Apparently I'm not as bad as I thought I was.

... Okay, I'll bite.  Why 132?  I haven't heard of it possessing any special properties.

Is it because it's both middle fingers in binary?

Probably means you have a lot of potential, if you tried hard... I did terribly at math in grade school, but I'm majoring in it now.

I also looked at one of her higher level student's textbook to learn how to make spirals and stuff with my calculator (TI-84+ Silver Edition with an electric blue face plate and cover).

I still just have a plain black TI-83 (with dead batteries).  Try putting other functions into the polar coordinate system... I had a lot of fun getting patterns out of the roses (cos(nθ) or sin(nθ) for larger and smaller values of n, where n is an integer.  Works a lot better for even numbers), but I also plugged in log(θ) a couple times for the hell of it.  Looks hilarious  ;D

Oh hey, welcome back Janet. Good thing you came back, some of the guys here were on the verge of throwing tantrums due to the disappearance of one of our star members.

 Indeed, welcome back.

And I'm thankful my assumption was correct about your internet. I figured if something happened to you that Milly would tell us. Unless the internet was down, which would explain why not a peep has come out.
